Has anyone else had an issue with the editor (I used bespin) adding ”” to HTML where a non-breaking space was? In codemirror it doesn’t show them, just a space. They are always rendered in the HTML though.

Hey all,
This seems like an amazing product, I look forward to using it, however I cannot seem to get it to work.
I have recently opened my account, and clicked on the link in my activation email.
I am using Firefox 3.0.4 and Windows XP. When I click on anything under ”Your Account”, a yellow box appears saying ”Working” appears at the top of the page, however nothing happens. I can edit existing test files, and make new ones, however cannot upload, add an Web server, FTP server, etc.
Do I need to wait for a period of time before my account is activated completely?
No, activation should take only a few minutes and it seems to me like you are a normal registered user. So this could be a bug. Maybe you can update your firefox to a newer version (if possible) otherwise the console (orange button at the bottom) can give a detailed error message.

Hi Alistair, if u r still having problems, would u create a new account? this happens very rarely in our system, sorry about that.
Problem solved. Kodingen’s UI does NOT work with Firefox 3.0.6, as installed on my uni’s computers. Latest edition of Firefox portable worked fine, and Chrome is too.
Kodingen is awesome! Will we one day be able to control servers we own SSH access?

hi kristina, so you want to change ‘username.kodingen.com’ to ‘yourdomain.com’, right? I guess this only possible through an external service, where you can link ‘yourdomain.com’ with ‘username.kodingen.com’. seems like it’s just PHP frameworks that currently work out of the box from the app store?
i would suggest removing any that aren’t implemented fully from the app store to avoid disappointment…
while i agree w/ andy (( @thepiedpipes )) that it can be disappointing to not use some things (( like rails.. )) it does state on the home page that not everything is fully support’d yet (( key word being yet )) // considering the size of the kodingen team compared to the overwhelming size of the project they are taking on, i think things are progressing rather nicely (:

ftp drives not mounting? please help.
Is this just me or is there no more ftp mounting?
no it does, try anonymous@ftp.debian.org (it works). if u have $ # type chars in your username/passwd it won’t work with kodingen. if it still -without those characters- fails, open up the bottom orange handle, mount your ftp, and send us your shell output from feedback. will be happy to help u out.
I tried it using my desktop computer and it works

Hi Ian, Yes that is -unfortunately- a known issue for characters with accents. Only workaround for now to use their ASCII equivalents in your html. We need to improve saving mechanism to get rid of that, that bug is on my to do list.
